Thank you for including Funny's post on the fate of Anna H. Banana in this excellent collection of posts.
As an update: Anna survived her close call. A new eye med has restored her vision enough that she has stopped confusing the shower stall with the doggy door, and a "fence" jury-rigged out of garden borders now keeps her away from the pool. She continues her journey into advanced old age.
