From the Psychology of Money department, Get Rich Slowly had a post this week called How Shopping Momentum Leads to More Shopping, highlighting research that found that after someone decides to buy an item, they spend less time deliberating before deciding to buy a second (or third, or fourth) item.
The Carnival of Personal Finance was at Broke Grad Student. Some highlights:
- Wedding As Status Symbol (Feminist Finance)
- What Do I REALLY want? (GRACEful Retirement)
- Socially Responsible Investing: Part I- Where Do I Begin? (Greener Pastures: Personal Finance)
- Lisa's tagline is "Responsible Living Without Compromising Your Retirement"-- it's so nice to see new blogs about money and values joining the pfblogosphere!
- Are You A ‘Frugal Fun Suck’? (Rather Be Shopping)-- about ethics, cheapness, generosity, and "good frugal karma"
- Extravagantly Frugal (Not The Jet Set)
- Programmers, ultra-marathons, and voluntary simplicity (Early Retirement Extreme)
Thanks for the mention. Lots of good reading here, thanks for including me!
