I've linked the article under my favo...Great tips! I've linked the article under my favorites from this festival in my blog.<BR/><BR/>My mom was an expert at being a tourist in our own backyard. She used to make sure that we hit all the tourist spots in Maine (where I grew up) when we were kids. We'd go to the beach, or the oceanarium, or to see Andre the Seal (he passed away when I was in college). We'd browse in the junky little stores on the coast and stop in interesting fabric and book stores. We went to visit several of those "historical mansions" that folks never seem to actually visit when they are in their own back yard (I particuarly remember the Black Mansion and the Victoria House in Portland ME) It was a lot of fun, and something I plan on doing with my own kids.Jenn @ Frugal Upstatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11737088723989230434noreply@blogger.com
